Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 lb. oleo
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter

Method

  • Stir sugar, milk, oleo and cocoa into a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Continue boiling for 1 1/2 minutes.
  • After mixture has reached a full rolling boil, remove from heat.
  • Blend together the oatmeal, chopped nuts, vanilla and peanut butter with first mixture.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
  • Makes about 30 cookies.
