Ingredients

  • 3 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 bar German's sweet chocolate
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar

Method

  • Heat 2 sticks butter, German's chocolate, 2 tablespoons cocoa and water to rolling boil. Cool slightly. Pour mixture over sugar, flour, eggs, buttermilk, soda and salt.
  • Blend and bake in 9
  • 1/2 x 13-inch greased pan at 325° for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
