Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. loosely packed fresh basil leaves
- 3/4 lb. butter, softened (no substitutes)
- 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp. white pepper
Method
- In a food processor, chop the basil. Add butter, lemon juice and pepper. Blend until smooth. Drop by 1/2 tablespoon onto a cookie sheet. Freeze.
- Remove from cookie sheet and store in freezer bags.
- Use to flavor chicken, fish or vegetables.
- Yields 4 dozen butter balls.
