Ingredients
- 5 c. peeled and sliced apples
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. quick rolled oats
- 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (almonds or pecans)
Method
- Combine apple slices and 1/2 cup sugar in bottom of 2 quart casserole.
- Mix butter, oats, flour, 1/2 cup sugar and nuts. Sprinkle butter and oats mixture over apples.
- Bake in preheated 350° oven for about 1 hour, until topping is brown and apples are tender.
- Serve warm.
- May be topped with ice cream.
