Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 14 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 12 cups flour
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add vanilla and almond extracts and mix well.
  • Stir in flour and fold in the chopped almonds.
  • You may need an additional 1/2 cup of flour to get a good consistency.
  • Shape in small balls and place on parchment lined cookie sheets.
  • Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven about 20 minutes, until slightly browned.
  • Roll in powdered sugar while warm.
  • Or, for less mess, shake in a ziplock with powdered sugar while warm.
