Ingredients

  • 1 large clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 c. finely minced onion
  • 1 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. dark brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c. vodka
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon-style mustard
  • 3 lb. chicken pieces
  • 3 lb. beef back ribs
  • garlic salt and pepper

Method

  • In a medium bowl, combine garlic, onion, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, vodka, Worcestershire sauce and mustard.
  • Sprinkle both sides of chicken and ribs with garlic salt and pepper.
  • Place on grill.
  • Cook 45 minutes to 1 hour or until tender.
  • During last 20 minutes of cooking, baste generously with sauce, turning frequently.
  • Serves 6 to 8.
