Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. gelatin
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • dash of salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 4 tsp. liquid sweetener
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. evaporated skim milk

Method

  • Soften gelatin in water.
  • Cook milk, flour, salt, egg and sweetener until mixture coats spoon.
  • Add softened gelatin and vanilla.
  • Whip evaporated milk until thick.
  • Fold into custard mixture.
  • Chill and freeze in ice cream freezer.
  • Yields:
  • 1 quart; 16 calories per ounce.
