Ingredients
- 1 box Twinkies, split longways
- 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 6 egg whites
- 8 oz. container Cool Whip
Method
- Line 9 x 13-inch pan with split Twinkies, minus one set aside. Combine chocolate chips, water and sugar.
- Cook over low heat until melted.
- Add egg yolks one at a time, beating mixture after each one; set aside to cool.
- Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into cooked mixture.
- Spread over Twinkies.
- Let set until firm.
- Spread Cool Whip over chocolate mixture.
- Refrigerate.
