Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising corn meal
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 4 c. hot broth

Method

  • Combine dry ingredients with milk and 2 of the 6 eggs.
  • Add onion and turn into greased large pan or skillet (mixture is crumbly).
  • Bake at 450° until done, not brown.
  • Remove from pan; crumble into another big pan; add remaining 4 eggs and not broth. Season to taste with approximately 3 teaspoons sage and 2 teaspoons celery seed.
  • Bake at 250° for 30 minutes.
