Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. corn tortillas
  • 1 large fryer or hen, boiled, boned and cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • garlic salt to taste
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes, chopped

Method

  • Place layers of tortillas, torn and soaked in chicken broth on bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  • Add, in layers, the green pepper, cheese, chicken and garlic salt.
  • Mix soups and pour over layers.
  • Add Ro-Tel tomatoes on top.
  • Bake at 375° for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Serves 6 to 8.
