Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 oz. can chopped green chiles
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can hominy (undrained)
  • 3 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
  • 1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans (undrained)
  • 1 1/2 c. water

Method

  • Cook the ground beef in a plastic colander placed in a glass bowl on High in your microwave until brown.
  • Leaving the beef in the colander, rinse with warm water to remove as much fat as possible.
  • In a stew pot, mix the drained beef with all remaining ingredients; ;simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Serves 12.
