Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sirloin
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. beef broth
  • 3/4 c. sherry
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. Accent
  • 4 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 c. sliced onions
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1 c. each sliced bamboo shoots and mushrooms
  • 1 c. sliced scallions

Method

  • Cut meat across grain in paper thin slices.
  • Combine soy sauce, broth, sherry, pepper and Accent.
  • Heat oil in a deep skillet and brown steak in it.
  • Push to one side of pan and pour 1/2 cup of soy mixture over it.
  • Add onions, celery, bamboo shoots and mushrooms.
  • Saute 3 minutes.
  • Pour rest of soy mixture into pan.
  • Add the scallions; cook 3 minutes.
  • Serve over thin noodles.
