Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate or unsweetened chocolate
  • 3 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla good
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (F)
  • Grease and flour two 8 x 12 cake pan
  • In a big pot, melt butter and chocolate.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, incorporating each thoroughly.
  • Add flour and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  • Pour into prepared pans, add chocolate chips to top.
  • Tap filled pan on counter a couple of times to pop bubbles.
  • Bake for 45 to 60 minutes.
