Ingredients
- 4 c. + 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. Wesson oil
- 1 c. margarine
- 2 eggs
- white or colored sugar (to decorate)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream sugars and margarine.
- Add eggs; beat well.
- Add oil. Mix in dry ingredients.
- Refrigerate at least one hour or more is better.
- Drop by spoonfuls and roll in balls to make perfectly round cookies.
- Dip bottom of glass in sugar and press down to flatten.
- Bake at 400° until brown on edges, 10 to 12 minutes. Makes several dozen.
- I half recipe usually.
