Ingredients

  • 10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries
  • 1 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 1 pt. heavy cream
  • 3 oz. pkg. strawberry jello
  • 1 large angel cake
  • 1 small Cool Whip

Method

  • Dissolve the jello in the boiling water. Add the entire package of strawberries (no need to thaw them). Chill this mixture until it thickens.
  • Break up the angel cake into 1 1/2-inch chunks. Whip the cream until thick and fold into the gelatin mixture.
  • In a glass bowl, alternate layers of cake chunks and gelatin mixture until bowl is full. Cover and chill 12 hours. Top with Cool Whip before serving.
