- 1 cup Molasses
- 1 cup Catsup
- 1 whole Onion (medium Or Large) Chopped Finely
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 whole Orange, Zest And Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Cider Vinegar (I Sometimes Use Raspberry Vinegar If On Hand)
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Steak Sauce
- 2 cloves Garlic, Finely Chopped
- 5 whole Cloves
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 teaspoons Tabasco Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
- 2 dashes Cayenne Pepper
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Bring to boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Use on chicken or ribs. Makes a great BBQ chicken pizza. Remove cloves if adding to pulled pork.
- I use this recipe frequently to take as a host(ess) gift for a cook-out. It keeps well, refrigerated in a glass jar.
