Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines white cake mix
  • 1 small box strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 c. oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen sweetened strawberries
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar

Method

  • Mix cake mix, Jell-O, oil, eggs and buttermilk together.
  • Set aside.
  • Mix strawberries, pecans and coconut; divide in half.
  • Add first half to cake batter and mix.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Mix second half of strawberry mixture with margarine and powdered sugar.
  • Ice cake after it cools with this.
