Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 2 eggs, separated
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. crushed strawberries (no juice)
Method
- Cream together butter, sugar and extract.
- Add 2 egg yolks. Sift together dry ingredients.
- Alternate by adding flour and strawberries to creamed mixture, starting and ending with flour. Beat 2 egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
- Pour into greased and waxed paper loaf pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean in a 350° oven.
