Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs

Method

  • Add yeast to 1 1/2 cups flour; blend well.
  • Combine milk, oil, water, sugar and salt.
  • Heat on low heat until warm.
  • Add to dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
  • Add eggs and beat until blended.
  • Gradually add the last 1 cup of flour.
  • Spoon into 2 well-greased 1 pound coffee cans.
  • Put on plastic lids; let rise in warm place until it reaches top; remove lids.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 375°.
  • Cool 20 minutes and remove from cans.
