Ingredients

  • pastry for 10-inch pie shell
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 1/3 c. pecan halves
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Method

  • Prepare pastry for 10-inch pie pan.
  • Mix butter, eggs, brown sugar, salt and vanilla in a bowl.
  • Beat with wire whip until smooth. Blend in corn syrup and pecans. Pour into unbaked pie shell with rounded side of pecans upright.
  • Bake 40 to 45 minutes in preheated oven at 375° until set and pastry is brown.
