Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 1/4 c. flour
Method
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add vanilla and egg; mix well.
- Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls.
- Dip bottom of glass in water, then in sugar; press top of each cookie to flatten.
- Bake at 425° about 5 to 8 minutes or until delicately browned.
- Makes about 3 dozen.
