Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter, softened
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. mashed bananas
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Cream butter in large bowl, gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs, one at a time; add vanilla.
  • In another bowl sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
  • Add bananas and nuts, mixing gently just until blended.
  • Turn into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool thoroughly then frost with cream cheese frosting.
