Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef stew meat, cut into cubes
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 5 carrots, cut into 2-inch slices
  • 1 onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 (16 oz.) can green beans, drain reserving liquid

Method

  • Heat oven to 325°.
  • In a 3-quart casserole, combine meat, potatoes, carrots, onion, salt, pepper and soup.
  • Add enough water to reserved bean liquid to equal 1 cup. Add to mixture.
  • Mix well. Bake, covered, at 325° for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Stir in beans during the last 30 minutes.
