Ingredients

  • 1000 millilitres water
  • 3 each chicken wings
  • 4 tablespoons lentils, yellow heaping
  • 1/2 each fennel bulb shredded
  • 3 each garlic cloves minced, or crushed by the press
  • 1 each celery stalks sliced
  • 1 each potatoes peeled, diced
  • 1 each carrots peeled, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup green beans cut into 1-inch parts
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sage dried
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds ground
  • 1 x salt and black pepper ground

Method

  • 1 - Pour water into the pot, toss chicken wings, bring to boil.
  • Add rinsed lentil.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Skim fat if needed.
  • Prepare the ingredients listed.
  • 2 - Add celery stalks, fennel, garlic and ca.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • Simmer for the next 10 minutes.
  • 3 - Add potato, sage, coriander and some black pepper.
  • Simmer for the next 10 minutes.
  • Stir in some lemon juice in the end.
  • 4 - In the meantime steam veggies: carrot, broccoli and green beans.
  • It should take about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • 5 - Top the soup in the bowl with steamed veggies.
