Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold Land O Lakes Butter, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Half & Half
  • 2 Land O Lakes Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 ounces (3/4 cup) smoked Gouda cheese, shredded

Method

  • Heat oven to 375F.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt in bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add half & half and eggs; stir just until moistened.
  • Gently stir in cheese.
  • Roll dough into 10-inch circle on lightly floured surface.
  • Place onto greased baking sheet; cut into 8 wedges.
  • Bake 18-20 minutes or until scones are golden brown.
  • Serve warm.
