Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 envelope spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 lb. cottage cheese
  • 3 c. broad noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp. basil leaves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce

Method

  • Cook meat in oleo in 12-inch skillet until it loses its red color.
  • Sprinkle with half the spaghetti sauce mix. Then spoon cottage cheese over meat.
  • Then top with noodles in a layer and sprinkle with remaining spaghetti sauce mix, then basil, parsley and salt. Pour tomatoes, tomato sauce and 1 cup water over top, making sure all ingredients in skillet are moistened.
