Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken cutlets (cubed)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (cut in 3 pieces)
  • 1 inch fresh ginger (crushed)
  • 1 scallion (cut into 2-inchpcs)
  • 14 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • oil
  • 1 garlic clove (chopped)
  • 12 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • salt
  • sesame seeds

Method

  • Mix chicken with next 7 items & let sit for 2 hours or longer.
  • Roll chicken in cornstarch.
  • Fry until crispy.
  • Prepare sauce with remaining items, heat add cornstarch to thicken pour over chicken.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds & serve.
