Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 8 c. water
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained and broken up
  • 5 tsp. beef bouillon cubes or packets
  • 4 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 medium carrots, pared and sliced
  • 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans or kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen cut green beans, thawed
  • 8 oz. spaghetti, broken, or any desired pasta, cooked
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • In large pot, brown sausage, onion and garlic.
  • Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients, except beans, spaghetti and cheese. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour. Stir in beans and pasta.
  • Bring back to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, until beans are tender.
  • Serve with Parmesan cheese.
