Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. Heinz 57 sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Method

  • Combine ground beef, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, milk and egg.
  • Shape into twenty meatballs.
  • Brown well in two tablespoons oil.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Sprinkle meatballs with flour and stir gently to coat.
  • Cut tomatoes into bite-size pieces.
  • Combine tomatoes and their liquid with Heinz 57 sauce and salt.
  • Pour over meatballs.
  • Simmer, uncovered, for 25 minutes.
  • Serve over cooked noodles.
