Ingredients
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 pound butter
- 1/4 pound baker's chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pound salted almonds
Method
- Stir slowly and constantly until it is cooked to a firm ball when dropped in cold water. Add vanilla just before taking from fire. Cut wax paper 4 x 4 inches. Can also use caramel to cover almonds. Wrap salted almonds in caramel candy (1 teaspoon) then wrap in wax paper.
