- 2 onions
- 6 to 7 cloves garlic
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 lb. seasoned pork sausage
- 2 pkg. wild rice and long grain mix
- 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
- 2 c. pecans
- 1 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 c. orange juice
Method
- Brown sausage until about medium well.
- Set aside.
- Brown onions and garlic until soft.
- Mix with sausage.
- Prepare rice mix, using low sodium chicken broth instead of water.
- When rice is done, mix with sausage.
- Add Italian seasoning, pecans, orange juice and cheese.
- Mix well.
- Put mixture in a large baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
- Bake at 350° until crispy on top, 30 to 45 minutes.
