Ingredients
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 eggs
- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. melted margarine
Method
- Soften yeast in 1/4 cup water (110°) with 1 teaspoon of the sugar.
- Combine milk, sugar, salt and lemon rind.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Add yeast and well beaten eggs; mix.
- Add 1/2 of the flour; mix and add margarine.
- Beat well.
- Add remaining flour and mix, but do not knead.
- Dough will be sticky.
- Place in greased bowl; chill.
