Ingredients
- 5 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 4 Tbsp. hot water
Method
- Mix dry ingredients; cut in shortening.
- Add buttermilk and yeast that has been dissolved in hot water.
- Put in oiled bowl in refrigerator.
- You don't have to wait for rising.
- Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.
- Bake at 425° for 10 minutes.
- It is better the second day.
- The dough will keep a week in the refrigerator.
