Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
  • 1/4 c. sliced green onions
  • 2 c. chopped celery
  • 10 oz. pkg. frozen peas
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices crumbled crisp, cooked bacon

Method

  • Before preparation, ingredients must be dry.
  • Break lettuce into small pieces and put in large bowl or 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Layer with green peppers, onions, celery and peas (cooked to package directions).
  • Cover peas with mayonnaise and sprinkle with sugar. Top with shredded cheese and bacon.
  • Chill 8 to 12 hours.
