Ingredients

  • 1 c. vegetable shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) box instant pudding
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Cream shortening, sugar and brown sugar together.
  • Stir in pudding.
  • Beat eggs lightly and stir them into pudding mixture.
  • Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir into pudding mixture.
  • Blend well and fold in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Makes 7 dozen.
