- 5 pork chops
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
- 3/4 c. long grain rice
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
- 2 1/2 c. whole tomatoes
- 5 green pepper rings
- sharp cheese, shredded
Method
- Trim excess fat from chops.
- Heat fat in skillet; when you have 2 tablespoons of melted fat, remove the trimmings.
- Slowly brown chops in fat; drain.
- Combine seasonings and sprinkle over meat.
- Add rice, onion and green pepper.
- Pour tomatoes over mix; cover.
- Cook over low heat 30 to 35 minutes.
- Add green pepper rings and cook 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
