Ingredients

  • 6 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 9 lasagne noodles, cooked
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • prepared instant mashed potatoes for 8
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese to taste
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  • Saute cabbage and onion until golden and clear.
  • Place 1/3 cabbage mixture in 9 x 13-inch pan and add 3 noodles.
  • Repeat previous 2 layers.
  • Layer potatoes, then cheese, then noodles, then cabbage.
  • Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.
  • Pour melted margarine over top.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, covered with foil.
  • Bake 15 more minutes, uncovered.
  • Let set before cutting.
