Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1 c. persimmon pulp
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 raw crust

Method

  • Combine dry ingredients; mix well.
  • Stir in persimmon pulp, milk, egg and vanilla.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Let cool.
  • You might like to use apple pie spices instead of the 2 listed, at least 1 teaspoon.
