Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound sirloin stead, cut in 1/4 inch thick strips
  • 1 tbsp. paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. sliced onions
  • 2 green peppers, cut in strips
  • 2 lg. fresh tomatoes, minced
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 c. warm cooked rice

Method

  • Sprinkle steak with paprika.
  • Let stand a few min.
  • Cook steak and garlic in butter till browned.
  • Add in onions, green peppers, tomatoes and broth; cover.
  • Simmer about 15 min.
  • Blend 1/4 c. water with cornstarch and soy sauce.
  • Stir into steak.
  • Cook till thickened.
  • Serve over rice.
