Ingredients
- 10 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 qt. scalded milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie crust
Method
- Scald milk and butter.
- Let cool.
- Add to egg mixture, composed of eggs, sugar, nutmeg and vanilla.
- Pour mixture into pie crust.
- Place in 450° preheated oven.
- Bake 20 minutes only. Turn heat completely off.
- Let pie stand in oven for 1 hour.
