Pecan Pie Surprise Bars - yellow cake mix

Method

• Set
• aside
• 2/3
• cup
• cake mix.
• Combine remaining cake mix, butter
• and
• 1 egg in a large mixing bowl. Mix with fork until crumbly.
• Press
• crumbs in a greased baking dish, 13 x 9 x 2-inches.
• Bake
• at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
• Combine reserved cake mix, 3 eggs, brown sugar, Karo and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed for 1 to 2
• minutes.
• Pour
• over partially baked crust and sprinkle with pecans.
• Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
• Cool and cut into bars.
• Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
