Ingredients
- 1 c. margarine or butter
- 2 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
- sugar
- pecan halves
Method
- In
- bowl,
- beat margarine or butter with an electric mixer on medium to
- high
- speed
- about 30 seconds or until softened. Add
- powdered
- sugar, about half of the flour, half of
- the
- milk and
- the
- vanilla to the margarine.
- Beat until thoroughly combined,
- scraping
- sides of
- bowl occasionally. Then
- beat
- or stir
- in
- remaining
- flour and milk.
- Stir in chopped
- pecans. Drop
- dough from a rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with sugar.
- If desired, lightly press a pecan half in center of each cookie. Bake
- in
- a 375°
- oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are slightly golden.
- Remove
- cookies
- and
- cool
- on a wire rack. Makes about 48.
