Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 None ripe pear, quartered, cored, sliced
  • 2 None thick slices seeded white bread
  • 2 oz Stilton (or other blue cheese), crumbled
  • 1/4 cup walnut pieces, chopped

Method

  • Heat oil in skillet. Add pear. Saute over high heat for 2 mins until slightly softened. Under a hot broiler, lightly toast bread on both sides.
  • Top toast with pear slices. Top with Stilton and walnuts. Broil until cheese is bubbling.
