Ingredients
- 1 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. softened butter
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
Method
- Preheat oven to 325°. Grease cookie sheets. Work butter in a bowl until creamy.
- Add sugars and beat well.
- Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
- Blend in water and peanut butter.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
- Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet, 2-inches apart. Crisscross with fork.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
