Ingredients

  • 1 c. sifted self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. softened butter
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325°. Grease cookie sheets. Work butter in a bowl until creamy.
  • Add sugars and beat well.
  • Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
  • Blend in water and peanut butter.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
  • Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet, 2-inches apart. Crisscross with fork.
  • Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
