Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts or pecans
  • 1/2 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted
  • 3 large peaches
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. mace or nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. milk

Method

  • Combine nuts, oats, brown sugar and butter; set aside.
  • Peel and pit peaches.
  • Cut into thin slices and toss with lemon juice; set aside.
