Ingredients

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 5 to 6 stalks celery, chopped in pieces
  • 1 pkg. frozen English peas, thawed
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or celery soup
  • 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese

Method

  • Saute chopped onion in butter.
  • Add chopped celery and saute a few minutes.
  • Add thawed peas, mushrooms and sliced water chestnuts.
  • Add soup and mix together.
  • Turn into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  • Sprinkle sharp cheese over top and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
