Ingredients

  • 4 c. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 pkg. (about 3/4 oz.) brown gravy mix
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained
  • 1 (2.8 oz.) can Durkee French fried onions
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • In 8 x 12-inch baking dish, combine potatoes, oil and pepper.
  • Firmly press potato mixture evenly across bottom and up sides of dish to form a shell.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 15 minutes.
