Ingredients
- 1 roasting chicken about 3 lb
- salt
- pepper
- paprika
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 tablespoons flour
Method
- Sprinkle inside and out with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In large skillet heat butter.
- Add chicken and brown on all sides, reserve drippings.
- Place chicken, breast up, into crock pot.
- Sprinkle with parsley.
- Pour chicken broth into skillet with drippings, stir to loosen crusty bites in skillet, then pour over chicken.
- Cover and simmer on high 6-7 hours.
- In saucepan, blend water with flour, stir in juices from crock pot.
- Cook and stir over medium heat until
