Ingredients
- 3 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- dash of salt
- 4 1/2 c. whole milk
Method
- Heat chocolate and water in a 1 1/2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
- Stir in sugar and salt.
- Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Stir in milk. Heat just until hot (do not boil).
- Beat with hand beater until foamy or stir until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
- Serves about 6 (1 cup each).
