Ingredients

  • 3/4 c butter or margarine
  • 1 1/4 c sugar
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 2 1/2 c cake flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp grated lemon peel
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325°. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. In a seperate bowl beat egg yolks until light and lemon colored; blend into creamed mixture. Sift together cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Resift 3 times, so it will be mixed well. Beat all ingredients until well mixed. Bake in greased bundt pan for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
